Matthew Taylor is currently pursuing a Master of Science in MIT's Music Technology and Computation program. In 2026, he received a B.S. in Electrical Science and Engineering from MIT and began research in the Laboratory for Audio, Music, and Acoustics (LAMA). Matthew's research focuses on percussion instrument physical modeling and the use of hardware platforms such as field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) to implement real-time audio processing algorithms. In his spare time, he likes to build analog synthesizer circuits, play the drums, and produce electronic music.
