Ashley Zhang is pursuing a Master of Science in Music Technology & Computation at MIT, advised by Professor Eran Egozy. She graduated from MIT in May 2026 with Bachelor's degrees in mathematics and computer science & engineering. As an undergraduate, she was a SuperUROP researcher in Professor Anna Huang's HAI-Res lab working at the intersection of music and generative AI. Her thesis surrounds using reinforcement learning methods to generate music arrangements for chamber ensembles. A cellist for 13 years, she is an active member of MIT's Chamber Music Society and on-campus performance groups. Outside of music, she enjoys running around Cambridge, video editing, and reading almost anything.
